How Do I Meet People?

Our church is not a place for spectators. It is a place for team members. Whether you are a five-year old child, a ninety-five year old grandmother, a busy mom, or a businessman with big responsibilities, we want you to be a part of our vibrant church community. Here is how you can learn, serve, and grow at this church.

Connection Points

Sunday mornings starting at 9:45 is a time for people of all ages to learn, grow and develop a faith that lives and breathes! Learn how you can dive deeper!

There are several adult classes available. One focuses on Biblical learning, the other is a bit more contemporary and explores books, literature and topics that make us reflect on our daily interactions with our peers, family and workplace.

Teenagers connect in classes that are mentored by young minded instructors who engage them in lively conversations based on current movies, news and hot topics. They may take a quick trip to a local fast food restaurant for their Sunday morning class or engage in a hands on mission opportunity to learn the many ways to connect to the Holy Spirit.

Our younger children have inspiring teachers who engage them in numerous activities to teach them the gospel and to prepare them to go into the mission field.

Women’s Group

Women’s groups gives the ladies in our church family special times of interaction. Our women’s group is focused on the mission and ministry in our community and in the world.

Men’s Group

It’s pretty simple. Our men are a group who love food and fellowship! They meet the first Saturday of the month to do just that – eat and visit. But there is a bigger mission and that is one to continuously find ways to serve our church and community to spread the awesome love of our Lord.

Working in Worship

There are a lot of opportunities to be a part of our Sunday morning worship services! Be a Greeter and welcome those coming to worship by handing them bulletins and welcoming them to church. Be an Usher – men, women and youth! Our young Acolytes bring the Light of Christ into church at the beginning of the services. Be a Reader and read the morning’s scripture verses during the service. Like technology? Work the sound room and run the graphics for the service. Are you musical? Share your talents – we have the choir, organ, piano and other musical opportunities just for you!

Mission Work

Our church is indeed a mission church. There are so many ways to get involved!

Be a part of our Harvest Festival every fall! Maybe you have a talent for making crafts, baking goodies, canning produce? Perhaps you have closet to clean out and want to donate those items for our White Elephant? Or maybe you like to cook and want to help with breakfast or lunch? Regardless of your talents, your time is needed for our festival because the money we raise goes directly to mission work!

Do you like to cook? Visit our  ministries  page to learn about Gateway and Feed the Team. In addition, we often provide meals for those who are inbound, sick or in need in our church family.

Watch for opportunities to travel outside of our area to help others affected by flooding, fire, and poverty. We have been to El Salvador, Mississippi, Southwest Virginia, Pennsylvania and North Carolina. Yes, we often help those right in our own community such as building porches, doing yard work, minor inside home work or whatever is needed to help improve the lives of those in need.
